oh, I only just realized that it wasnt the machine they were using that they had a problem with, it was an unused machine that would have been in their shot. Yeah, the guy is right that they're not the first people to record themselves at the gym, this was just my first instance of someone being an asshole because of it. PeteyParker posted... Not really. They don't own the gym and have no right to tell you that you can't use equipment. That's their problem if you're "in the shot", not yours. I believe I was an asshole in that I escalated the situation. I could've just ignored them, there are always alternatives to every form of exercise (some not as good as others), but instead I chose to confront them about it and get the manager involved. Though I'm rationalizing it in my head that if it wasn't me, someone else surely would've done the same as well eventually. This apparently wasn't the first time they got a complaint.
