We really need an article explaining what exactly changed when net neutrality was killed. No one seemed to notice anything.

The reason net neutrality laws went into effect in the first place is because multiple ISPs were throttling traffic to certain things. Most noticeably, multiple ISPs were throttling Netflix traffic. Netflix paid them to stop throttling traffic and then the average Netflix speeds over those ISPs increased dramatically. Netflix then passed the cost of those payments onto their customers by raising subscription fees. By now, Netflix has made that money back multiple times over, but weve never seen a decrease in subscription fees.

Without Net Neutrality laws in place, were just trusting that ISPs wont do that again. If they dont, great, but I wouldnt be shocked if some high bandwidth application comes along and some ISPs decide to throttle it. Especially ISPs who are the only choice in their given service area for high speed internet.
