Nintendo is an extremely rich and lucrative company.microsoft paid more for activision than nintendo is even worth lmao. nintendo, while lucrative, is not worth that much in the global space. about 57b. microsoft essentially gives the xbox division a blank check, and while they and everyone else would love to own nintendo, nintendo isn't for sale, the only way to get them at this point would be a hostile takeover, which is near impossible to even do in japan due to the myriad of protections specifically for that at most we're only ever going to see a partnership, which they already have. nintendo allows people to sign into their xbox account in various microsoft titles on the switch, which is just minecraft stuff iirc, and nintendo helped microsoft beat the ftc and cma with them agreeing to partner with microsoft on various abk titles. --- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jne9t8sHpUc ...
