You were meant to be 5'9". If you want to be taller go for it, but unless you were deprived of proper nutrition while growing up, had a serious injury, or have some kind of congenital defect, you're more than likely the height you're supposed to be.

The funny part is, the human body is meant to be proportional. The length of your legs is meant to counterbalance the length of your torso and head (that's sort of the point of the Vitruvian Man).

If you break your legs to add four inches, you're basically turning yourself into an asymmetrical freak (because you're not countering that additional height in your torso). You'll basically be a 5'9" body with the legs of a 6'6" man. It will not look good.

Everything will be out of alignment, your center of balance will be absolutely fucked, and you almost certainly will become incredibly clumsy and awkward afterwards (absolutely temporarily, and possibly permanently).

Also, speaking as someone who HAS legs that are slightly too long for my torso (I'm 6'3", but I should probably be closer to 6'0"), it can be incredibly inconvenient - it makes bending over harder, doing things like putting on your shoes, and other foot related stuff. It'll probably also increase your risks for knee problems later in life.

I get that people (especially men) don't want to be short, but none of the drawbacks of being short are going to be as bad as the drawbacks of essentially mutilating your body into a shape it was never meant to be in. Unless you're suffering from literal dwarfism, you definitely shouldn't be getting leg lengthening surgery.
