My family had a laser printer growing up and my mind was utterly blown when I entered the workforce and realized how miserable and scummy printer companies can be, with HP being the worst offender by far. Firmware updates that make it harder to use anything outside of their overpriced proprietary cartridges, refusing to print if any colors run out even if you just want B&W, etc, etc, fuck that.
