Nah there is with some regularity a group of people who will defend racist depictions in Japanese media as "forcing western politics onto poor, apolitically pure Japan".

Trying to link a Hag to antisemitism seems weird. The traditional Hag seems rooted in Irish folklore, and the fantasy version leans on concepts from Mara and Baba Yaga as well. The point of the Hag is to be a creepy old witch; which invokes symbols of paganism in general. Not a stand in for Jewish people. And in a lot cases Hag were very specifically satanist monsters, Christians fearing old women performing dark magic in the woods. If the author wanted to call something out for antisemitism, she could have made a stronger argument attacking the Goblins. Goblins actually are historically linked to Jewish people, though I guess BG3 wasn't as nakedly obvious as Harry Potter was and maybe they're afraid people won't click the article if they talk about Goblins again.

Lol.
