Topic	Gonna have a thyroidectomy in three hours. Pray for me, lol.

More worried about the fact that I was told I had to be on methimazole 3 weeks after I should have started taking it. Like goddamnit, doctors. It's probably fine in all likelihood, just make sure to tell the doctors. Make sure to tell them what you ate and when. The reason you're not supposed to eat anything is because the anesthesia can cause nausea and vomiting which is not good when you're asleep. A few pistachios hours beforehand however isn't exactly likely to cause any issues though. Maybe ask the doctors about the medication too, ask them if it'll have any negative impact on how you'll feel after surgery or the surgery itself.
