The requirement is only that somebody has residence in the state for 1 day and it only has to be at the time of the election. He doesnt have to maintain residence at any other point during his term.

This is a really stupid law and more evidence that the Founding Fathers were not infallible clairvoyant wizards.

He's not the only one who does this, Justin Jones (I think, might have been Pearson) called out the main person who led the charge against him to be removed by pointing out the dude doing it was elected to represent a district neither he nor his family really lives in. He owns a house there, but they don't actually live or dwell there.

Noticeable how it's the party of people who cry and scream about "outside influence affecting our elections" when they themselves are sometimes revealed to be outsiders not actually part of the community trying to influence the elections of actual residents.

That guy, Walker, and now Tuberville all come to mind, I don't know of any Dems who do similar, but if you want to post some if you find any I'll condemn them as well.

The guy he ousted was a prosecutor who locked up Klansmen before becoming senator and voted for several things that are currently benefitting AL.

They replaced that guy with Tuberville.
