So you don't have like politicians there , ever pushing like religious stuff and and anti abortion stuff, like sometimes you see in the u.s.?It's a little bit complicated, because of some of the traditions and ceremonial functions: the Head of State is also head of the Church of England, and Bishops sit in the House of Lords. But the UK is in practice a very secular country. People are a bit suspicious of those who are overtly religious. Generally, religion is kept out of politics. Famously, Tony Blair had to downplay his religious beliefs, because they would not play well with the public. We've had atheist Prime Ministers (James Callaghan, Winston Churchill), agnostic Prime Ministers (Attlee), and Boris Johnson is on record as saying he is not a 'serious Christian'. Basically, not believing in God would have no effect on a political career in the UK. The abortion debate is considered settled.
