Man, still thinking about Talk to Me. The whole script is so crisp. Like if this was a big budget teenage horror they'd have some kind of stupid subplot looking into the origin of the hand and junk but this one doesn't waste your time.

I loved how it's just this really personal, self-contained story of this completely fucked situation they're in after messing with something they shouldn't have. It didn't need to be anything more than that and it's so good as a result.

I also really enjoyed the double meaning of "Talk to Me" and "I let you in" in terms of mental health. Where the lead is clearly having a ton of issues but doesn't really discuss them, and she doesn't really let anyone in except for one vulnerable person. And that same vulnerable person is desperate for someone to talk to him about his problems and let them in.

Just such a damn good film. They could easily make another movie with a completely different cast and it could probably be pretty excellent too. This concept has a ton of ideas they can do with it. But it's an incredible film.
