(Tyrell is one of the main characters of Dark Dawn. He is the son of Garet.

Tyrell is the character that kicks off the games plot. At the very beginning of the game, Tyrell is on the Lookout Cabins roof and has taken the soarwing, a contraption designed to let Adepts glide through the skies that was invented by Ivan. Isaac, Garet, and Karis beg Tyrell to stop, but he hops off the roof (his reasoning being that nobody ever believes in him, suggesting self-esteem issues). He does not know how to properly control the soarwing, and so hes forced to land in the dangerous, monster infested Tanglewood Forest. This serves as the games tutorial dungeon, introducing battles, Psynergy both in and out of battle, Djinn, and more. Eventually Tyrell is located after a strong monster guarding the path is defeated. He has broken the soarwing, and one of the materials needed to make a new one is the incredibly rare feather of a Mountain Roc. As a result, Matthew, Karis, and Tyrell are sent on their own to embark on a quest to obtain a new feather. However, things do not go as planned, and their journey goes way off course. The trio does not return home until the very end of the game, in the post credits scene, in which Isaac and Garet are no where to be seen, and a giant Psynergy vortex, presumably the Mourning Moon mentioned at the beginning of the game, is spotted nearby.

Tyrell is a very unpopular character due to his tendency to be impulsive, a troublemaker, and having anger issues. Indeed, even the games other characters arent fond of him. His own father Garet is disappointed in him and thinks he acts immature for his age (which is 16), Patcher banned him from his shop for almost burning it down some time ago (and it almost happens again when Matthews party visits it), and Karis bickers with him constantly.

Technically, Tyrell could be considered to be the indirect catalyst of the entire games plot.

Interestingly, theres some cut dialogue assigned to Patchers Place that has Karis outright say that Tyrells mother died when he was young, which would explain some things. However, nothing of the sort is even hinted at in the final game.)
