See, Elementals did something that I actually liked, it had an immigration subplot that took my by surprise. I didn't see anything in the commercials, marketing, or trailer that it would talk about that so it was nice they dabbled into it. It also had enough stuff for adults to enjoy about the movie to the point where I can call it a "family movie" instead of a "kids movie", even though the weakest part about the movie, imo, was the romance.
