Hogwarts Legacy. After I finish that I'm probably going to switch over to one of my older games. I might go with Kingdoms of Amalur, though I might also go back to play Overlord 1 & 2 again. And KotOR is always a dark horse option. Or maybe Jade Empire.

I can honestly say I don't think I'm ever going to play any of the three games you put in your poll at any point in the entire rest of my life, because I don't give even the remotest of fucks about any of them (other than having reasons to dislike all of them in principle for different reasons).

mass effect andromeda. I got it a while ago and just finally got around to it. I'm enjoying it more than a lot of people apparently.

Most of the backlash to it came when it first came out, when it was a borderline atrocity. A metric shit-ton of patches fixed a lot of what people were complaining about, so now it's just a mediocre sci-fi game instead of a war crime. But all those people who bought it at launch and were disgusted by it are never going to go back and give it another chance (see also No Man's Sky, Fallout '76, CyberPunk 2077), so a lot of the complaints you see online are about a version of the game you're not seeing if you're playing it for the first time now.

Though it doesn't help that it's branded as a Mass Effect game, but does literally everything Mass Effect did slightly worse, so it feels like a disappointing follow-up to a well-loved trilogy that spanned years. So many characters and plot elements feel like sloppy cut-and-pastes from the original, and the things it tried to be original with tended to be kind of meh. It leads to the plot feeling mediocre - and while it's certainly still enjoyable (I enjoyed it at least), it's nowhere near as good as the rush you got from ME1-3.

It probably would have done better (and gotten a bit more positive reviews) if it was an alternative to Mass Effect put out by a different company, and wasn't being directly judged against ME1-3. A mediocre game feels much worse when you're going into it after having played one of the best trilogies ever. It also probably would have been given a bit more slack if it had been released by a different dev/publisher (see also people being willing to ignore glaring problems with games like Outer Worlds and Greedfall because they were coming from smaller studios).

ME:Andromeda is basically the Star Wars Prequels.

Which is a shame, because EA/BioWare's desperation and ineptitude at this point is probably going to result in the next game basically being Mass Effect's version of the Star Wars Sequels.
