After growing in trust and dependency for one another, Mitch was captured while leading some of the post-A-Day resistance. Learning that he was left in a perpetual state of hanging to serve as a warning to other would-be resistance leaders, Kim has taken it upon herself to free her closest friend. After running into Checkmate agents in Baltimore, Kim decided to partner with them for her mission to New York. Since that time, Kim has become the mainstay of the Z'onn Z'orr morgue, thanks to her unique ability. Although the results often end in a head crumpling like a rotten pumpkin in her grasp, new information salvaged from the recently deceased has proven invaluable. And Kim's confident attitude and ability to stomach some truly heinous scenes has perhaps helped foster a casual entanglement with Saoirse - though the boundaries are quite clear for Kim: once Mitch Shelley is rescued from Darkseid's clutches, she's all aboard the Resurrection Man ship. --- "It is too easy being monsters.
