I really like the romance between Eric and Ariel here and I think it's far more convincing in why they 'click' with each other. The musical sequences, while not as fun and whimsical as the original, are mostly decent. I like the second half of Poor Unfortunate Souls, quite grand while keeping it sinister. --- "A blank page or canvas, his favorite.
