The version of the events that the boy's mother released said that she first tried asking some of the boys if she could rent the bike they were guarding, they told her "No we're going to be leaving on it soon". She tried asking a few of them, and than when the first 3 or 4 refused her she went and swiped a bike that she hadn't asked about.Her version is that when she got on the bike, the teens weren't nearby and came up to her after she scanned the bike and was leaving. And until video of what happened between 7:19 and 7:24 is released, it could go either way. Personally, I find her version more believable, but I'll change sides if it comes out she pushed him off the bike after asking. --- The large print giveth And the small print taketh away ...
