If you are able to understand and converse with people with adult cognitive skills, forcing somebody to be immersed among children would likely introduce years of ridicule and boredom in an effort to force them into a "normal" life. yeah this kid probably doesn't have much in common with other 12 year olds, and would just be bored out of his big mind if he was forced to go through school at a regular pace.
