I would say a kid with that much potential would probably have a horrible time in the normal school system. There is really no place where a genius will properly fit in, too smart for one system, too young to properly participate in another. I've seen a couple stories where they turn out just fine, if relatively boring, so it's not like it's a social death sentence.
This, imo. I find it unlikely that the traditional childhood experience would have been suitable for somebody with a brain like this (almost certainly not neurotypical). If you are able to understand and converse with people with adult cognitive skills, forcing somebody to be immersed among children would likely introduce years of ridicule and boredom in an effort to force them into a "normal" life.
