So Jerusalem's Lot was an 8/10, which is way higher than I expected to give it. I knew it was something of a prequel to Salem's Lot giving the history of the town, but tbqh I wasn't a great fan of Salem's Lot - it grew on me my second time through and I can't deny there are some fantastic scenes and characters, but vampires have never really been my bag so it's never been near my top.

But I get into it, and quickly peg it for the more Lovecraftian story it is, using a much different writing style than King's norm, and with some excellent and eerie revalations, and a truly explosive finish. I've always enjoyed King's Lovecraft homages more than Lovecraft himself, and this was no exception.
