But confirming witht he company would answer wether there were other recepts of the bike, how the bike works in reseting it such as your point of some kind of grace period where you can choose another bike. among other things I never saw mentioned in articles. Maybe the man was confused and didn't know its reset by docking it not in how you pay/rent it? Maybe they didn't know or were confused about alot of things.
