I found Rey to be uninspired. Finn was bleh and meh, either a lump on a log or embarrassing, especially beyond tfa. Kylo was so lamely constructed as a ragey villain I actively disliked him. Anti cool. I never wanted to see him again.

So they tried to turn that... into a real villain.

But you can't just make an interesting villain with basically no attractive qualities. This is a fantastical fantasy story. Make me see what Kylo sees as attractive or tempting. Vader was imposing and intimidating.

Kylo is raging dorkasaurus. Inept and unbelievable as a villain.
