The movie is straight trash, easily the worst mass released Star Wars film. For how much people try to gas it up it was actually considerably more simple than most other films. Star Wars has always been about the "Hero's Journey" or the "Monomyth." The Last Jedi borrowed extremely heavily from Buddhist parables so it ended up just being white yuppie's first "Eastern Philosophy" class instead. Rise of Skywalker is worth seeing for Beast Machines Megatron - Palpatine at least.

The only reason I feel tempted to see RoS is to compete the saga but...fuck, I don't really want to.
