Everyone beat me to it, but yeah, storywise you can literally beat the temples in just a few hours from turning the game on, and/or fight Ganon immediately. The story objectives are never a mystery. Everything else, though? Well, that's par for the course of an open world "go explore and have your own fun", which fit in with the theme of a ruined, nature-took-over Hyrule. I myself would like more Zelda-like dungeons and a larger story arc this time around, but BotW was easy to follow.

That's impossible. There's not enough good gear that early on to beat the game that fast.

Yeah, there's nothing wrong with preferring a more linear Zelda experience in line with the traditional formulas over BotW's open-world approach, but BotW definitely doesn't suffer from not giving you any indication of where to go.

It doesn't tell you where to go with map markers half of the time. The map marker will stay on the quest giver instead of where you need to go.

Its tough

On one hand, weapons that break in 4 hits sucks.

But on the other, if they didnt break that fast youd be loaded up on a billion of the same twigs and spears you find absolutely everywhere. Or theyd have to hide the games only 40 weapons throughout a world the size of Asia.

If they want to keep durability, just increase it a ton so that weapons break after 30 swings instead of 3.

They should have made it so you could sell weapons.
