No subplot or character motivation/relationship is developed properly. Of course most critics would dislike it. That should be obvious if you take a step back and think about what the movie is like if you didn't grow up with Mario. And no it isn't because they're biased against animated movies. Most Illumination movies reviewed better because they were more focused. The Mario movie crammed a lot of characters and settings in at the expense of character development. --- A Fallen Mascot ...
