Then I read it as a grown-up and I still enjoyed it a lot. Disney did a really bad adaptation in the '80s of the first two books. Think fantasy adventure fairy-tail ish. Or Narnia without the overt Christian imagery. Yeah, disney main butter is to adapt local folklore around the world and give happy endings to it. I think it seems pretty cool.
