Sorry to hear that, but you're gonna have to get used to death >_> I deal with it all the time on the street. Only 30% of Code Blues in a prehospital setting survive. It's hard to see the family upset but you gotta tune it out and just strive to keep going and keep improving: it's your responsibility as a healthcare worker to learn and improve to help people.

All you can do is apply your training and if it wasn't meant to be, it wasnt meant to be.

I did a year of 5PM - 8AM shifts as the only doctor in a rural hospital.

Never again. Hats off to anyone who can do that for longer.

Honestly, I don't know how long I'll be here. I don't think I'd want to be on overnight shift for a year or more.
