I finally picked up a subscription to Shudder in order to support them as well as have access to their exclusive content, mostly for their films since I'm doing my best to see as many 2023 films as possible. Started off with Spoonful of Sugar, which was... interesting. I think it has a pretty cool premise but doesn't capitalize on it enough. Kid gives Babadook vibes. This film isn't on that level though. I think it's serviceable and enjoyable though, pretty good acting. It sort of comes off the rails in the last 20 minutes in my opinion but that's not untrue for like, a lot of horror films I've watched.
