I don't get the love for 2, but I respect it. It's just too much of a jump from realistic action to SUPERHERO JOHN WICK.

The movie was self-aware enough that it never bothered me, but I see where you're coming from. JW1 is much more grounded with him needing to rest after the club shootout and such.

Also, I like how you said the final half hour was incredible. That really speaks to the movies pacing

Guess what. The last action scene was an hour long. I literally found a cam recording to make sure I'm not crazy, and from the moment he gets off the boat, to the final duel is basically an hour. Yeah it's like 4 different set pieces but it does not stop for a literal hour

Damn. Didn't even realize that. I was indeed enthralled. I hope that if they make a JW5 it's a prequel (maybe showing him completing his "Impossible Task"), because the final duel and ending of JW4 was absolutely incredible and I wouldn't want them to extend things out just to cash-in on the franchise.
