This is probably the best use of ChatGPT, tbh; personal projects like this. It can create full character sheets for random NPCs/enemies in your setting, it can semi-randomize plot points by dangling a bunch of threads for you to further pursue, etc. It shouldn't ever be used unassisted, but it looked like an absolutely fantastic supplementary tool. When things go commercial is of course where the line gets drawn. Oh absolutely, I expect this to be used and abused to hell and back. But just asking it for some interesting ships, and the corporations that made it, to fill out a shipyard. Yeah it's great. I can whip up an interesting NPC with just a few seconds of typing, and have them fit the exact scene I need, and make up details quickly. The GM dread of the players talking to an NPC you haven't fully prepared yet, are a thing of the past! ... Copied to Clipboard! |
