Dragoon doesn't even need Red-Eyes considering any Dragon effect monster can work (not even Lv 6 or higher, either), hence you have people saying that Branded summons Dragoon easier than Red-Eyes.

It is much easier to run it in Dark Magician because you don't have to run bricks and can just use Timaeus monster (I think it can be searched), whereas Red-Eyes had to run another brick.

It is therefore not really a Red-Eyes card but Dark Magician card cosplaying with Red-Eyes outfit.

To make things better, some Red-Eyes cards need to target a Red-Eyes monster to work. Guess what, Dragoon can't even be targeted....

Ed: also Red-Eyes is forever gimped in Master Duel. To wit, Kazuki Takahashi drew the art for Alternative Black Dragon. MD has problems implementing cards using Takahashi-made art.

If it's true, then it just drives how pitiful Red-Eyes' state in MD.

Well I mainly just wanted red eyes for the fusion material in the dragon deck I'm making. I don't think I'm gonna use dragoons (that's a type right?). Just dragons in general.
