I've not been thinking too hard about which characters to pick, as otherwise I'd be paralysed by indecision! So far when a character gets locked off I've been generally going to whoever I think would tie in closest to that story. I think it does help staying within the same circle of sorts, it's easier to remember what's going on.

Though the downside is there's some characters I haven't touched in a long time because they're not too closely connected to the ones I've done. Mainly Iori and Megumi. Iori is always tangentially related to what's going on but never the most obvious choice and I often forget Megumi exists >_>
