It never looked like one mechanically anyway, to the point of disinterest. DFMMM holds my attention much more than SMBF, but also I would feel a lot better about it if it was following SMB and not SMBF. A true sequel would have been appropriate, but, fine. Somewhere in the mix is The End Is Nigh, and that game is great.
