xenosaga 03/18/23 10:18:21 PM #26: | Reached 20 on the sorc and probably calling it quits for now, having a lot of fun with it but figure I'll save it for June. Misc overall thoughts: -Attack animations and their sounds are fantastic for the sorc. The sounds of the attacks in particular are like New World gathering sounds quality. -Really enjoyed the new dodge mechanic, using that with teleporting every ~9 seconds made battles feel fun and more engaging than older Diablo games. I noticed I got a second dodge charge later on but not sure if it was from equipment, leveling, or something else. Excited to see how many you end up with by end game. -Boss battles felt less like just a direct gear check and more like an actual fun segment with a bit more learning quick patterns. Also really like the mechanic of the boss dropping a few potions for every large chunk of their health that you take off, lets you heal up quite a bit through the fight. -Character creation is far better than previous Diablo games but still at about a mid 2000s MMO level. Pick a face, hair, hair color, skin color, tattoos, jewelry. Not a big issue I guess considering your character is usually decked out in gear and 2 inches tall. -Came across a few legendary drops that felt pretty impactful and one that gave a skill perk that made me switch my build up. Felt like a pretty healthy drop rate. Will be interesting to see how much variety ends up getting added to skills through gear. -Love the skill/upgrade flexibility, being able to easily and instantly change up your build because of a new drop is great. -Story seems interesting by Diablo standards. -Open world aspect feels like it fits Diablo pretty well, going to really appreciate getting a mount though. Especially because I kept forgetting to activate the town portals... Overall I went from I'll play it to being pretty excited about it. --- thcam ruz elliw red ... Copied to Clipboard! |
