It could have easily been a 10 if they weren't trying to push it out immediately after RE2.IIRC RE3 REmake was in development before RE2 REmake. RE3 Remake is a let down imo. Puzzles are only difficult if you're a first grader, the level design in the final act is trash, and Nemesis is 85% scripted. The game is also painfully linear. Remember the sewer sequence in RE3? It's a straight line with one loop in the middle. Meanwhile I've beaten RE2 several times and I couldn't tell you the complete layout of the sewer section. Also exploring RPD while getting hunted down by Mr X was great. Doing QTE in RE3 is not. RE2 just felt like a great environment to explore. RE3 holds your hand and guides you down a hallway ...
