Bruh, Ussop almost dying for, what in his mind, the money to repair the Merry, when at this point EVERYONE ELSE knows now that, sad as it is, the Merry is irreparable.
Fucking brutal.
Before I even started watching the show, I had it spoiled that the Merry has to be retired, and that at some point Luffy and Ussop fight over that fact, but even still, seeing the build-up to that is pretty wild and amazing.
Also I might have to fully stop watching the anime intros period, cause thankfully almost everything that would have been spoiled for me from the intro I had already had spoiled, but I think I'm reaching the end of my luck with that. Like, why the actual FUCK would they have Ussop legit fighting Luffy in the intro? That's so fucking stupid.
And it sucks, cause most of the time I like listening to/watching the intros to various shows, gets me in the mood for whatever it is I'm watching. But fuck man. I doubt Luffy will actually ever perma die, but if it did happen, I feel like this show would still put that in the mother fucking intro before it happened. Like, god damn.
It's because anime are made for Japanese people where the studios already assume they read the manga.
