Dick never showed up in the Batman Beyond show, but in the comics a big part of why he hated Barbara was because after they broke up, she hooked up with his adopted father. Nightwing knew it was fucked up and wrong like most people here do. Barbara seemed more interested in Bruce than he was in her. I think she kept advancing on him until it became a fling. But obviously it didn't work out, and it never would have. Hell Barbara in BTAS was introduced having a straight up wet dream to show her crush on Batman.
