I would like to start off by just asking people about this interaction:

[Kiryu] is in contact with Liquid Snake, who is masquerading as his mentor over Codec. Liquid will shed his faade once both teams meet and begin a gleeful monologue about how he's misled Kiryu. Kiryu will be generally be none the wiser of the deception, and will genuinely believe he is being given helpful advice from a reliable source, although he still won't do anything obviously incorrect, nonsensical, or out of character just because Liquid says so.

[Liquid Snake's] most favored limb has fallen off. He will feel no pain from losing it, but will have to make do for the week's battle without it. He is unable to speak, save for the words 'Hi', 'Bye', 'Why', 'How', 'Wait', 'Meet', 'Sorry', 'Thanks' and his own (first) name. These vocalizations will have no special effects they would not otherwise have normally.
