I mean I would have thought of this Scan your DB for people banned for 3 years, unban them, find the modders responsible and IP ban them. IP ban all VPNs, script kiddies gone. These are dumb bored kids, not a determined organization that can't be stopped. Easy fix! These are basic things I've set up for websites before, my banning methods were more advanced than this. Bans should spread across IPs and associated accounts like an STD. If kids want to have fun ruining other people's save games, they should be ready to not play that game anymore. If another person using that IP address gets punished as well, let them argue about it. And you have so many different methods of tracking your users with a locally running desktop app with essentially admin permissions. I'm not angry that they suffered from an exploit, it's that this has been going on the entire time, nonstop hackers and modders in every lobby. ... Copied to Clipboard! |
