v_charon 02/08/23 10:35:55 PM #400: | The Gobert trade can't really be defended, because outside of a few 20/20 games he's not been a good fit. He hasn't played well without Towns, and they didn't play well together. Granted it was a small snapshot, but that's the past and we're locked into Gobert for a while now. No changing that. I feel like trying to pile on Minnesota for this trade is just an attempt to be funny though, because like I said I don't think this was a bad move. Russell probably wasn't coming back next season unless the Wolves went on a good run in the playoffs, because he'd always be behind Edwards and Towns and I think he probably thinks he can do more than that. Granted now he's behind AD and Lebron. I doubt he'll be resigning with the Lakers either though. They already got rid of him once. If he wasn't traded now I feel like the same people would call Minnesota dumb for not trying to get something for him and letting him walk. Conley is a good fit for us. He can play with Gobert and hopefully improve the team. He's also not a star player or will try to be, which is what we need because we're supposed to have two stars already. --- :> Truly smilin' ...
