One: as we saw in PS Products vs Activision Blizzard the court case got quite far before someone pointed out they looked nothing alike: http://patentarcade.com/2014/02/ps-products-v-activision-blizzard.html -- how far it would have got if it looked exactly the same and was named the same? We haven't found out, and I wouldn't want to be the author to find out. Two: You can hand wave inconsistencies a lot easier -- Is the gun you're writing about, impossible to reload left-handed, for example? Or, if you fire that rifle one-handed at that angle, would it break your wrist? You don't need to know that, if you make your own gun up. ... Copied to Clipboard! |
