Some boxes have really cool artwork on them and the box can be displayed where you can still see the figure. Resell value goes down significantly too unless its a rare figure. Collectibles dont usually hold onto their figures forever. Sometimes they sell so they can buy more. Only time its okay to take them out of the box is if theyre not able to be displayed from in the box and are really rare.

Lol at collectors playing with their toys. Never heard of that one.

Those nendroids with parts you can change out are more popular these days but there's a lot of older models that have similar interchangeable parts and even things like desks and other props to pose with or recreate scenes from the anime or game.
