Pokemon World Tournament (BW2): What a great idea. As far as I'm concerned, this and Battle Tower are the ideal postgames. Battle Tower is more complex, but this is almost as good, and actually tries to integrate things in a diagetic way... not that there's any way to explain Giovanni's presence, though. Like, really, how good of an idea is it to have all of the significant trainers in the series show up and just fight ya? It's such an obvious idea; I really hope they do it again in gen 10. I played the shit out of this back in the day.

Ultra Necrozma (Battle Theme): I like the twangy build-up at first, it does effectively build suspense, and it sounds like some kind of JRPG final boss theme. Unfortunately, things go awry at about 0:30 and things become more anarchic. Everything except that part is still solid, though, so... pretty good. I don't think I ever heard this theme while playing?

Evolution Stones: Great idea. You can evolve a pokemon whenever you want, but it permanently loses some of its potential to learn powerful new moves. Too bad everyone just immediately looks up when it learns its most useful moves, and evolves after that. And making some of the stones limited in quantity is always a pain. I still haven't finished my Paldea dex because I can't find another stupid dusk stone.

Gen 3 Aesthetic and Atmosphere: It's strange that the game with the chillest location (tropical islands) has some of the highest stakes. You can't have stakes about how weather gods will destroy the world juxtaposed against a nice happy island aesthetic. That's probably why FRLG are better-remembered; they at least nail the general feeling of Kanto.
