Dude, same. Shit gets pretty dark, like, literally (end of the arc spoilers) a full on unnecessary civil war happens, and while they brush off some of the death toll by having like, Pelle and some other people not actually die, the death count was still easilly in the thousands by the end of it. That's pretty heavy.

Also the fact that Luffy lost twice to the same dude is pretty unprecendted up to this point, and I appreciate that the series is willing to show that Luffy isn't unbeatable. He'll win when it counts, but he can still get his ass kicked just like anyone else.

yeah, earlier in the series i was thinking luffy is too OP and that it's kinda lame how easily he beats everyone. but i'm also only about 10% of the way through current story, with much more to go. it just started raining in alabasta and the war finally stopped. thinking robin must save luffy and the king or something out of the tomb. didn't robin save luffy the first fight with sandman?
