I mean, what would you expect him to do? Even if he is a Nazi, he's not going to out and out admit to it. Apologizing was the literal only move for him, and it rings hollow as just PR versus actual development and growth. From what I read it was recorded by someone at the show after being heckled and drunk. He probably didn't expect people to see it.
