Topic | Did Vergil actually think he wouldn't lose to Nero next time? |
ViewtifulJoe 01/27/23 4:50:28 AM #18: | IMPORTANT LORE QUESTION Where did V's tapdancing skills come from? It wasn't gonna be in the brief time he existed, that was a race against time and he wasn't messing around. It had to come from Vergil. Same as his ability to pretend to play a violin and his ability to walk around holding a book. We see Vergil hold up a book and say "Yo I should give Nero a book." in one of his so called taunts. At some point Vergil sat down and found time to hone his tapdancing prowess. You can see a bit of this after he kills Beowulf. He could have just obliterated him and stood still but he makes it a point to bounce around. I think there was a lot off off-screen tapdancing perpetrated by Vergil. Kills Arkham -> walks off screen and dances a merry jig. Kills Beowulf -> forgets he's on screen for a sec and almost dances. Fights Mundus at the end of 3 -> tries to do a little dance the same way Dante would insert a taunt -> Mundus defeats Vergil easily because of this. I don't care about the taunt where ghost Vergil does a dance, that ghost Vergil could have a whole other origin story. --- Still waiting on that third threat ... Copied to Clipboard! |
