Some are calling this the best animation category ever and I have a hard time disagreeing. Every nominee has at least a 94% RT score (and all but one are 95%+) which is kind of wild. The only anime contender was Masaaki Yuasas Inu-Oh which also had to compete with other western snubs like Wendell and Wild, The Bad Guys and My Fathers Dragon. The latter of which was Cartoon Saloons first ever snub despite Irish cinema having an incredible year for nominations. Tough, tough category this year. --- I just decided to change this sig.
