The older battles are just a little more "simple"; there aren't layers upon layers of stuff you have to dig through to find the references too. I guess some people might just prefer that. But the older battles as a result contain lines that are just... not good. Like that Einstein line "um, that was Hawkard" is just... objectively awful.
