Obviously that doesn't make him "The First Doctor" as an official title, but as an adjective describing his relative position among Doctors appearing within NuWho (which is how wolfy42 used it, and you obviously understood what he meant), it is accurate to say he's the first. It wouldnt be accurate. But you also wouldnt be the first to mistakenly call him the first doctor. Just because people make the mistake a lot doesnt mean its a good descriptor. Its like if a bunch of people kept calling someone by the wrong name. Doesnt mean the name is right.
