And Wonderful Christmastime is unusually dopey even by those standards - that awkwardly pulsing synthesizer kills me. Some rock bands do great Christmas songs. The Band-Must be Christmas Tonight is really underrated. Hall and Oates Jingle Bell Rock cover is a classic. And I like Tom Petty's Christmas song. But Paul McCartney just phoned in a crappy song. Even he knows it's dumb; the bridge of the song is literally 'dumb dumb dumb'. And John Lennon's song is just miserable --- BADoglick to the Max! ... Copied to Clipboard! |
