Terminator was as good as it got for him and yet Titanic and Avatar were the highest grossing films of all time at their release. Titanic is understandable. Everyone wanted to see the epic disaster, and more importantly it had young Leo and teenage girls went back to the theaters 15 times Avatar is more confusingits certainly a world wide hit. It made a lot of money in countries outside of the US. It had a universal message and theme, and had groundbreaking visuals.
